About
About the Artist
Ericka Baker is a Seattle-based artist inspired by the quiet, often-overlooked moments that give places their character. Originally from New England, she has lived throughout the U.S. before settling in the Pacific Northwest, where landscape and atmosphere strongly influence her work.
Working in acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, and mixed media, Ericka’s work leans impressionistic, focusing on mood, light, and emotional connection rather than strict realism. She creates original artwork, prints, and commissions intended to feel personal, familiar, and enduring. Outside the studio, she spends her time exploring the PNW with her husband and their two dogs, Coast and Cowboy.
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in the quirks that turn ordinary moments into core memories. I’m inspired by familiar places, worn textures, and the quiet nostalgia that builds over time. Working in an impressionistic style, I prioritize mood and feeling over realism, creating work meant to feel personal, calm, and familiar — like a memory resurfacing when you least expect it.
