About
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in the quirks that turn ordinary moments into core memories—the creak of old floors, the weight of a well-loved notebook, the quiet of a crisp morning. I am drawn to the nostalgia embedded in everyday moments, where beauty exists in the wear of time and memory. Using an impressionistic style with layered textures and expressive marks, my work seeks to evoke the feeling of remembering something you didn’t know you missed.
About the Artist
Ericka Baker is a Seattle-based artist whose work explores nostalgia, empathy, and the beauty of imperfection in daily life. Originally from New England, she has carried her appreciation for history, grit, and charm across the country, living in Charleston, Austin, Dallas, and Denver before settling in the Pacific Northwest. Working in acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, and mixed media, Ericka blends painterly textures with an impressionistic sensibility, capturing fleeting moments that resonate. She offers originals, prints, and commissions, inviting collectors to find pieces that feel personal and timeless. When she’s not in the studio, Ericka can be found exploring Seattle’s hidden corners with her husband and their two dogs, Coast and Cowboy.
